OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed one more active case in the region and one more death.
Both the new active case and the death are from Elgin County. We currently have 2 active cases in the region and both are in Elgin County. This means for the 9th day in a row, we do not have an active case in Oxford County.
To date, the Health Unit has tested 8,796 people for COVID-19. We have 84 cumulative confirmed cases, 77 cases have been resolved, 5 people have died from the virus, all in Elgin County and we currently have 4 active cases. We have also have had three institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared. All of the outbreaks are listed as resolved.
