LONDON - The Chief of London Police says the mass drugging and sexual assault allegations at Western University's Medway-Sydenham Hall are serious and disturbing.
Officers will be going door to door at the student residence as they investigate allegations that surfaced over social media, suggesting more than 30 women were sexually assaulted over the weekend.
Steve Williams says no one within the residence has come forward with a formal complaint at this time, but the London Police Service has received sexual assault complaints from four women at other residences on campus.
London Police launched the investigation earlier this week and Western University recently decided to increase their on-campus security in response to the allegations.
