Kyle Walker took home four awards last night at the Woodstock Navy Vets Banquet.
WOODSTOCK - Kyle Walker was the big winner at the Woodstock Navy Vets Awards Banquet.
The team hosted the event last night at the Upper Thames Brewing Co. to officially close their 2018-2019 season. Walker took home four awards on the night including the Season MVP.
He was also given a plaque for being named to the PJHL Doherty Division Annual All-Star Team for the second year in a row.
Following is a list of all the awards winners:
Most Improved – Reid Campbell
Best Defensive Forward – Jacob Rooke
Top Rookie – Tom McFarlane
Top Defenceman – Chris Thompson
Most Dedicated – Cam Leslie
Playoffs Top Scorer – Kyle Walker
Playoffs MVP – Kyle Walker
Season Top Scorer – Kyle Walker
Season MVP – Kyle Walker
Six players were also given team jackets as part of the team's community service program for hours spent at community events. They are Reid Campbell, Gabe Costantini, Keegan Wilkins, Jacob Rooke, Cam Barker, and Lucas Psenicka.
The Navy Vets also honoured their five overaged players with team jerseys for their years of sevice the team. They are Jared Prekup, Austin Sine, Chris Nauts, Justin Elms, and Cam Leslie.
