Everyone is invited to the grand opening of the Beachville fire hall happening on Saturday which took about a year to build, two years of planning and they have been operating out of the fire hall since May.
BEACHVILLE - The grand opening of the new Beachville fire hall is happening this Saturday.
Fire Chief Jeff VanRybroeck says things get started with an auto extrication demonstration at 10 a.m.
"We will show how we use the Jaws of Life and how that comes into effect when we get into a rescue situation. We are also going to do a demonstration for rope rescue and ladder training. The new fire hall has components built into it, so that we can do this training safely inside into the configuration of the building, so we will be showing off, some of those features. We are also going to be doing some demonstrations on different fire fighting activities and hazardous material incidents and things of that nature."
VanRybroeck says they are really excited to showcase the new building to the public.
"We are pretty excited to demonstrate what skills we can provide, but also how this building is going to help us train and help us to become better prepared."
The new fire hall took about a year to build, two years of planning and they have been operating out of the fire hall since May. They will also have plenty of fun events planned for the kids and a BBQ from 11 am to 1 pm.
