New Logo for CAS

The Children's Aid Society of Oxford County has updated their logo as part of their Strategic Plan. They are also reminding everyone to wear purple tomorrow.

OXFORD COUNTY - The Children's Aid Society of Oxford County has updated their logo.

Board Chairperson Dan Molinaro says the new logo is part of the Strategic Plan Update with the intention of envisioning the future of child welfare services and the Family Violence Counseling Program.

"We see child welfare as a community commitment. We are fortunate to live in a great county with many services and supports for children, youth and families. We wanted our strategic plan to reflect an inclusive, strength based approach to our services."

Excutive Director Tina Diamond says they put a lot of thought into the new logo.

"We realize the power of images to communicate strong messaging, and throughout the strategic planning process we renewed our organizational logo to create an image that better reflects our values and intuitively speaks to our hope for the future of children, youth, and families in Oxford. This updated logo represents a renewed commitment to keep children and youth safe using strategies that focus on strengthening families and building community supports and resources."

The agency’s strategic plan will be shared and implemented in the coming months, but the logo reveal could not wait. Staff were excited to see the change, as the new sign was installed at 712 Peel Street.

The Children’s Aid Society of Oxford County will be marking two important recognition events in October, Foster Family Appreciation Week is October 18th-24th, and Dress Purple Day is happening tomorrow, October 27th. Community partners and citizens of Oxford County are encouraged to wear purple tomorrow to raise awareness about the important role we all have in supporting vulnerable children, youth and families.

The main office, located at 712 Peel Street, is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Outside of regular office hours, dedicated staff are available to take calls. Anyone with a concern about the safety or well-being of a child or youth or if their family is in need of support in Oxford County, can call 1-800-250-7010 or 519-539-6176. Our phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
