Brittany Bratt and Danica Dixon created the Oxford County Moms Club a couple of months ago and it already has over 900 followers online.

OXFORD COUNTY - Two moms in Oxford are working together to beat isolation after recovering from a long pandemic.

Brittany Bratt and Danica Dixon met on social media bonding over mom life, and decided to create the Oxford County Moms Club so other moms in the area would have a safe space to meet and support each other.

Bratt says they wanted to help other moms who may be feeling lonely.

“If we were feeling that way other moms probably were too. So, we kind of had this idea of putting it on social media and just saying ‘hey this is how we're feeling, are you guys feeling it too? And if so do you maybe want to hang out?’ and it just took off.”

Bratt says they have started weekly walking groups and have plans for more activities.

“For about six weeks now we meet once a week, normally around 10:00 a.m. and we go to different communities in Oxford County so that it's accessible for more moms and were also planning a park day for next week. So, we do plan events to try and get mom out of the house.”

Dixon says they have only been online for about two months, and they already have a follower base of over 900 moms in the county.

You can visit their group on Facebook or Instagram.
