Oxford OPP Briefs - Tuesday January 19th

Oxford OPP briefs include an overdose in Ingersoll, a stolen pickup truck in Zorra Township and a case of extortion.

INGERSOLL - A 41-year-old had to be taken to hospital following an overdose in Ingersoll.

Oxford OPP got the call early Sunday evening and a family member administered two doses of naloxone before officers arrived on scene.

OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford OPP are investigating a case of extortion.

A man and a woman met online and the man was caught on web cam performing a sexual act.

The woman saved the video and threatened to call police if he didn't pay her.

Police say you should always be careful while sharing photos or videos over the internet.

ZORRA TOWNSHIP - A pickup truck has been reported stolen in Zorra Township.

Police say it's a grey GMC Sierra in the 2018 model year and it was taken from a home on 15th Line early Sunday morning.

NORWICH TOWNSHIP - It looks like nothing was taken following a break and enter in Norwich Township.

Police say someone smashed the front door window of a business on Robson Street Saturday night.

Surveillance cameras show a pickup truck and a some unknown individuals. Officers are trying to track them down.

TILLSONBURG - Oxford OPP are once again reminding you to lock it or lose it after a wallet was taken from an unlocked vehicle in Tillsonburg.

The theft happened in the Hilldrop Crescent area early Friday morning.

Police say the victims debit and credit cards were later used at businesses in Woodstock and Ingersoll.

TILLSONBURG - A 42-year-old man from Tillsonburg has been charged with public intoxication.

A good samaritan called police after they found someone consistently walking into the roadway in the Joseph Street area Saturday night.

Police say the man was laying in the middle of the road when they arrived on scene.
