UPDATE: Missing Woman Found Deceased

Lola is 72 years old and she was last seen in the area on Canary Street and Martin Street in Tillsonburg

UPDATE 4 (December 17th, 2023): Lola has been found deceased in the area of Plank Line and Airport Road in South-West Oxford.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious, and the OPP would like to thank everyone who assisted in this investigation.

UPDATE 3: Search efforts continue for a missing person from Tillsonburg.

The investigation, which includes members of the Oxford Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Oxford OPP Crime Unit, is now under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).

Lola is 72-years-old, and they have now released her last name as Watson.

It is reported that she has connections to the Mississauga and Toronto areas.

UPDATE 2: It has been one week since Lola went missing.

In a video posted on the OPP West Region X page yesterday, Oxford OPP Constable Patti Cote said Lola was last seen in the area of Canary Street and Martin Street at around 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 8th.

She also said the OPP has expanded the search efforts, and encouraged everyone to check their properties.

UPDATE: The search continues for the missing senior in Tillsonburg.

In a video posted on the OPP West Region X page on Friday, Constable Conrad Vitalis said the OPP has brought in additional units and resources to help. He also asked members of the public to keep an eye out for her, especially those going out on the trails over the weekend.

 

TILLSONBURG - Oxford OPP is asking for the public's help in finding a missing woman. 

Officers are looking for a 72-year-old named Lola, who was last seen today (Wednesday, November 8th) at 8:20 a.m. leaving her home on Huntley Avenue in Tillsonburg.

She is described as 5'1", 145lbs, medium build, curly hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a burgundy hat, a green puffer coat, and blue jeans. She was also carrying a purse and a bag.

Sargent, Ed Sanchuk has this to say.

"The OPP is asking residents in the surrounding area to please their properties, outbuildings, and if you have any video surveillance systems to contact police if you have any information. Businesses in the area are being asked to check any video surveillance to see if they captured the missing woman on their systems."
