A 55 year old from Bayham has been charged with Criminal Negligence Causing Death and Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm after a backyard fire left a 1 year old toddler dead and four others badly injured.
BAYHAM - Police have charged a 55 year old from Bayham after a tragic family fire, left four people badly injured and killed a 1 year old toddler.
Police and EMS rushed to the home on Vienna Line back on July 12 when a backyard fire raged out of control. Last week, police confirmed that a 1 year old toddler succumbed to their injuries as a result of the fire. Two adults and two children were also badly injured. No updates on their status have been provided.
Today police announced they have charged 55 year old Johan Hiebert with Criminal Negligence Causing Death and four counts of Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm.
