UPDATE: Central Public School will be closed because of a COVID-19 outbreak and plans to open after the Spring Break on April 19th.
UPDATE: The TVDSB has confirmed that Central Public School will be closed until after the April Spring Break.
An email to parents stated that effective Wednesday, March 31st, Central Public School will temporarily transition from in-person to remote learning. The school board is hoping to reopen the school on Monday April, 19.
The closure was caused after a high number of students and staff at Central Public School are required to quarantine. Due to this exposure, the school is required to close.
As of right now, the school board is only reporting one active case at the school. You can find a complete break down of all active cases within the TVDSB online here.
Classroom teachers will be contacting families for remote learning information. During this time all before and after school programs will also be closed.
