Ontario is reporting over 1,000 more resolved cases than new cases today and the daily case count has been under 2,000 every day this week.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,670 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 260,370.
The Province also confirmed another 47 COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total number of deaths connected to the virus in Ontario to 5,958. Meanwhile another 2,725 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 232,480.
The province completed 55,191 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,382 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 377 people in the ICU and 291 in the ICU on a ventilator. The areas with biggest increases today include 450 new cases in Toronto, 342 in Peel, 171 in York Region and 128 in Niagara.
