For the second day in a row, we have more recoveries than new cases in Ontario. The Province also confirmed another 74 COVID-19 related deaths.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 2,961 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 224,984.
The Province also confirmed an additional 74 COVID-19 deaths this morning, bringing the total to 5,127. Meanwhile another 3,392 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 190,221.
The province completed 50,931 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,674 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 385 people in the ICU and 276 in the ICU on a ventilator. Some of the places with the highest daily increases today include 738 new cases in Toronto, 536 in Peel, 245 in Windsor-Essex County, 219 in York Region and 171 in Hamilton.
