Ontario is back under 1,000 daily new cases with 975 confirmed this morning and 1,002 resolved cases.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 975 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 295,119. The positivity rate today is 3.7%.
Ontario is also reporting 12 new deaths today related to COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths in the Province to 6,884. Another 1,002 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 277,939. We did not have any new cases of COVID-19 variants confirmed this morning.
The province completed 25,979 tests yesterday. We currently have 718 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 283 people in the ICU and 186 in the ICU on a ventilator. Most of the new cases are once again coming from hot spot regions with 343 new cases in Toronto, 186 in Peel and 89 in York Region.
