Registration is now open for Sleuthstock; a historical and cultural scavenger hunt in Woodstock's downtown core.

WOODSTOCK - If you're a history buff who loves a good riddle; you should sign up for Sleuthstock at the Woodstock Museum.

It's a team scavenger hunt in the downtown core, which focuses on the city's history and culture.

Summer student Courtney Phelps gives us a sneak peak at some of the trivia questions.

"I don't want to give too much away but I do know there are a few around Museum Square so some may be dealing with the fountain and its origins, maybe some at Market Centre and the design elements of buildings. A lot of the questions can be answered if you know the history of the area and if you don't there are history blurbs in all of the puzzle booklets that will give you assistance when you're trying to figure out your answers."

With a fun prize on the line, Phelps says you can expect some friendly competition.

"If you for example come across another team, feel free to lie to them and maybe mix of their answers because it is a competition! I don't want to give too much about the prize, but part of it is the bragging rights that go with it and other things are Woodstock related."

It's geared towards adult teams of two to six people. Teens and tweens are also welcome to participate. It costs $20 a person and you have to sign up at the museum or online ahead of time.

The first hunt will take place this Thursday at 1 p.m. They also have four other dates lined up; Saturday July 28th, Saturday August 11th, Thursday August 16th and Saturday August 25th.
