Mary Rodrigues rolls out with WPS to conduct RIDE checks Thanksgiving weekend

1000 vehicles checked, and no impaired drivers.

Woodstock Police rolled out Friday night with a RIDE program, at several locations in the city.

That included on Devonshire Ave, near the corner of Huron.

It's a significant location, and time for a RIDE program.  That's where 4-month-old Alexander Fleming lost his life 5-years-ago on Thanksgiving weekend.

Baby Alex was in a car with his family that were hit by an impaired driver in the intersection.

Alex's mother, Mary Rodrigues was out with WPS on the RIDE checks, handing out MADD red ribbons to drivers.

Police say they were happy with the results of the RIDE checks, and even happier to see several vehicles were utilizing a designated driver.
