OXFORD/ELGIN/ST. THOMAS - Public Health Units across the Province including Southwestern Public Health is moving to a new database for collecting information related to COVID-19 cases and their contacts.
This means the web site, which we rely on for daily numbers will not be updated for four days. The data migration and data validation process required for such a transition will take several days. As this data is used to update our COVID-19 dashboard, the dashboard will not be updated August 20 through August 23.
The Health Unit did provide an update on the new daily cases today. We have two new cases to report for Thursday, one in Oxford County and one in Elgin County. Southwestern Public Health will be posting the information on their social media accounts until the new database is ready.
