WOODSTOCK - Nobody was injured after a tractor trailer fire on the 401 east bound lanes in Woodstock last night.
The fire caused all kinds of traffic delays yesterday. Public Information Coordinator with the Woodstock Fire Department Lisa Woods says the call came in just after 6:00 pm last night about a tractor trailer hauling wood fully engulfed in flames.
"Crews were able to go into a fast attack mode using foam and bring the fire under control fairly quickly. The roads did remain closed for awhile, while we cleaned the scene and get the transport truck pulled off the road."
The fire started in the cab of the transport trailer because the trailer carrying the lumber was not damaged. No word on what caused the blaze at this time.
Damage to the transport truck is estimated at $100,000.
