Gavin Bryant was selected by the Owen Sound Attack in the 2nd round, while Wyatt Adkins was taken by the Ice Dogs in the 12th round.
INGERSOLL - Two teenagers from the Town of Ingersoll were selected in the OHL draft on Saturday.
Forward Gavin Bryant will join Justin Bieber's favourite team, the Owen Sound Attack. He was selected in the second round. Bryant most recently played AAA hockey for the Brantford 99ers.
Attack Director of Scouting David McNamara was full of praise for the forward
“He’s a great two way player. He has high end hockey sense and makes others around him better. We see a lot of leadership potential in him, and he'll be a sneaky good point getter.”
Bryant scored 14 goals and added 26 assists in 31 games with the 99ers this season.
Defenceman Wyatt Adkins meanwhile was selected in the 12th round by the Mississauaga Ice Dogs. He finished this past season with the AAA Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs.
Both teenagers currently attend IDCI in Ingersoll.
