Woodstock's Gallery Cinemas is back open today, after an action scene broke out in the lobby Saturday night. Theatre Manager Jason Fraczek tells Heart FM a burnt popcorn kernel is responsible for sparking a fire in the popcorn machine. "A little burnt kernel ignited pretty much all the popcorn in the popper. It went up pretty quick. They (staff) got it taken care of once they got the fire extinguisher on there, but it set the sprinkler system off, which is where we got all the water damage from." The water from the sprinklers caused some damage to the front lobby. They've had to rip out some carpet, and the debit machines at the concession stand were ruined. Debit machines are still operating at the box office for ticketing. Theatre Manager Jason Fraczek says they're back open for Sunday screenings. "We are going to be open for the public for the matinees and the evening. It's going to be a little messy in here, a little bit disoriented, but we're getting things back together. Like they say, the show must go on, and that's what we're going to do." And yes, despite the fire...there will be popcorn.
