Huron Park S.S. Family Movie Night & Silent Auction

In May and June of this year, 31 students from Huron Park Secondary School will be travelling to Europe to participate in the events that will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion at Juno Beach. Students will engage in multiple commemoration activities and will be present at Juno Beach for the ceremony on June 6th.

On February 15th, we are holding a family movie night and silent auction as a fundraiser to help reduce the cost for the students. As we all know, prices have been rising over the last few years, and this applies to everything. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to help the group pay for expenses like a bus to Pearson Airport, and other expenditures for their commemorative learning. .

The event will take place in the Huron Park Secondary School cafeteria and doors will open at 5:45 pm. The movie "Rio" (rated G) will begin at 6pm and the Silent Auction will run throughout the movie and will close at 8pm.

Admission is free, and snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Silent Auction items include: Blue Jays tickets, a Google Home Mini, hand crocheted blankets, Yeti Ramblers and Oxford Golf Course gift cards, a FoodSaver vacuum sealer, a variety of gift baskets, and several pieces of hand crafted home decor.
