London 25th Annual Walk to End ALS

The ALS Canada Walk to End ALS is the largest community fundraiser for ALS research, advocacy, and community-based services. One of 22 Walks across Ontario is happening in London on Saturday, June 21 at Springbank Garden. London celebrates 25 years of building community and connecting people, reminding us that we are all part of something bigger. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (also known as ALS, Lou Gehrig’s disease, or motor neuron disease) is a disease that progressively paralyzes people because the brain is no longer able to communicate with the muscles of the body that we are typically able to move at will. There is no cure and people diagnosed typically have 2-5 years of life expectancy. The Walk to End ALS unites Ontarians in their desire to put an end to ALS, celebrates hope for a world free of ALS, and honours the people we have loved and lost.
