After a two-year break due to COVID-19, the Thames River Clean Up is set to return for 2022!
They're looking for volunteers to help clean up our river, as garbage, plastic, masks, and gloves have washed into our waterways and these things are harmful to our fish, wildlife, and water quality.
Participants can enter a draw to win a new canoe donated by Nova Craft Canoe, or a pair of Muskoka chairs donated by C.R. Plastics of Stratford! These chairs are made from 100% recycled plastic, reflecting the most common material that volunteers find.
Thanks to the financial support given to us by our community partners, the Thames River Clean Up committee will provide all volunteers with garbage bags and work gloves. With the hope that many of the volunteers will adopt a section of the river and continue to care for it year-round.
Free BBQ for all participants at Unifor Hall starting at 11 .a.m. All are welcome - Families, Groups, Students, Individuals!!!
