The theme for this year's Woodstock Fair is 'Rural Pride County Wide.'
WOODSTOCK - For the past 179 years people from Woodstock have celebrated the end of the summer with a fair.
This year is no different as things get started at the Woodstock Fairgrounds on Thursday with the fair running until Sunday. Manager of the Fairgrounds Maria Reis tells Heart FM about some of the new and exciting features this year.
"We are bringing in some additional rides this year, we also have a new rock climbing wall, we are adding inflatables for the kids, we will also have our motor sports mania on Friday night, constant entertainment in the beer tent, and our old McDonald barn is always popular with the kids."
Reis says the theme this year is Rural Pride County Wide.
"Agriculture is a big part of our fair, so all of our horticulture and our livestock shows and Old McDonalds' Barn are all part of the agriculture in the area. We have our Oxford Jersey Show because as we all know Woodstock is the Dairy Capital of the World."
Reis says they will have something for everyone at the Woodstock Fair and they are trying to keep the prices affordable for the entire family. Things kick off on Thursday and they are offering a toonie promotion where each ride will only cost a toonie. You can also get ride all day bracelets for $25.
