A 63-year-old woman is facing charges after police recovered 27 dogs, 5 cats, 3 horses, 2 donkeys, one pig, and one guinea pig in Norfolk County.
NORFOLK COUNTY- Animal cruelty charges have been laid in Norfolk County after police sized 39 animals.
A 63-year-old woman has been charged with animal cruelty, with a total of 27 dogs, 5 cats, 3 horses, 2 donkeys, one pig, and one guinea pig rescued from Norfolk County Road 19 East.
Acting Sergeant Ed Sanchuk confirmed said they "were called to the scene around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday after a motorist passing by noticed several animals in a ditch".
The investigation is still ongoing.
