The chamber is selling tickets to a Blue Jays game and Breakfast with the Mayor.
WOODSTOCK - It's going to be a very busy month for the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber has lots of events scheduled for April, including a bus trip to a Toronto Blue Jays game on Saturday April 25th. They will be home to the Cleveland Guardians that afternoon and General Manager Mike Crabbe says you don't have to be a chamber member to join the fun.
"Anyone can purchase a ticket, so come join us! We are sat in section 233 and we also get access to the third base bar which is great for networking."
Tickets cost $175 for chamber members and $185 for non-chamber members, including the coach bus trip to and from Rogers Centre. The bus will leave the Civic Centre Arena parking lot at 11:30 a.m. that day. and tickets can be purchased online here.
The Chamber is also set to host its Breakfast with the Mayor event a few days later, on Tuesday April 28th at South Gate Centre.
The doors will open at 7:00 a.m., breakfast will be served at 7:20 a.m. and Crabbe says Mayor Jerry Acchione will deliver his State of the City Address.
"It gives Mayor Acchione an opportunity to address what's happening in the city, answer some questions and have a great breakfast at South Gate Centre."
Tickets are avalable through the Woodstock Chamber website online here. They cost $35 for chamber members and $45 for non-chamber members.
The Chamber is also now accepting nominations for the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce Business Awards of Excellence.
Crabbe says you have until May 26th to nominate a local business for one of the eight award categories.
"So we've got Outstanding Manufacturer, Food Services, Retail Commercial, Professional Services, etc. There's something for everyone!"
The awards ceremony is always held in the fall and you can find the nomination form online here.
During his interview with Dan and Marcie on Friday March 17th, Mike Crabbe also talked about the Chamber's new Learn With Us series and the next Business After Five event at Jakeman's Maple Products. You can listen to the full interview below:
