Local food lovers will get to experience a new upcoming festival about all things cheesy.
WOODSTOCK - The inaugural Dairy Capital Cheese Festival is coming to Woodstock in April.
It will feature some amazing local food and beverages to sample and of course the focus will be on local cheese. Event Planner with Bonafide Events Studio Jessica Faria tells Heart FM what you will experience at the festival.
"People will be able to sample local cheeses from local artisans and cheese makers around the Oxford County area as well as from Stratford and St. Mary's, they will be able to experience interactive demonstrations and talks surrounding cheese, and they will be able to experience a photo booth. They will also also have cheese for you to purchase, live music, entertainment, and a kid's zone."
Faria says they felt like it was only fitting to have the event in Woodstock.
"Well it's very appropriate since Woodstock is the Dairy Capital of Canada, so it only makes sense to have a cheese festival here and it's just going to really showcase all that Woodstock has to offer with local cheese makers and artisans in the area."
The event will happen on April 23rd at the Oxford Auditorium.
