Ingersoll's Alexandra Hospital will host their annual tree lighting ceremony. The fundraiser will be held outside the building on November 17th, where two trees will be lit in honour or in memory of loved ones.
INGERSOLL - The Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll will be having their tree lighting ceremony later this month.
The Tree Of Lights is an annual fundraiser that will see two trees lit up in memory or honour of loved ones.
Executive Director Robin Schultz says it's one of their biggest fundraisers of the year.
"We have two trees. One's lit up totally in white lights in memory of loved ones, the other is in white lights as well as in coloured lights, and that's sort of in memory or honour."
She adds the initiative has raised approximately $30,000.
Schultz says the event is free and it is for the whole family.
"We have the Ingersoll Guiding Movement and Brownies and Sparks come out and help us out with singing, we have bagpipers playing that night so it's really a lovely evening."
There will also be refreshments available and an appearance by Santa Claus.
People can purchase a bulb, ranging anywhere from $10.00 to $50.00. There are $1,000 stars available as well.
It goes on November 17th at 6:30 pm.
