The OPP has charged the accused with two counts of assault and two counts of mischief.
PERTH EAST - There's been a domestic disturbance in Shakespeare.
On Monday Aug. 8, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic dispute on Galt Street.
The OPP charged a 27-year-old resident of Perth East with two counts of assault causing bodily harm (choke, suffocate or strangle) and two counts of mischief for property damage.
During the investigation, the police uncovered that this had not been the first time the accused allegedly assaulted the victim.
The accused has since been released from custody and will answer to the charges in court at a later date.
