VON Oxford's Meals on Wheels program received a helping hand from the mayors of Woodstock and East Zorra-Tavistock.
WOODSTOCK/TAVISTOCK - It was another year of March for Meals for Woodstock Mayor Jerry Acchione and East Zorra-Tavistock Mayor Phil Schaefer.
They helped with some Meals on Wheels deliveries in the Woodstock and Tavistock area on Thursday. Woodstock Fire Prevention Officer Luckasz Kasprzyk was also there to assist.
The Meals on Wheels program is run by VON Oxford. It delivers hot meals to seniors in the Woodstock area over the lunch hour Monday to Friday. Tavistock's deliveries take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, also during the lunch hour.
The program also delivers frozen dinners to residents in the Woodstock area on a biweekly basis.
Local mayors have been participating in the annual March for Meals campaign for 13 years now.
