Woodstock Police are investigating after suspects tried to steal an ATM from the Springbank RBC.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police were called out to the RBC on Springbank, after someone tried to steal an ATM.
Officers got the call at around 3:30am today.
Police say the suspects had entered the front vestibule area and hooked a chain around the machine. They then used a flatbed tow truck to pull the ATM off the floor mounts and through the front doors, smashing the windows along the way.
Officers interrupted the heist and the suspects fled the scene in another vehicle, leaving the truck and the ATM behind. The getaway car is described as a white heavy duty Ford F150 pick up and it was last seen heading south on Springbank.
An investigation is ongoing.
