Big Brothers Big Sisters is desperately seeking male mentors for more than 40 boys looking for a friend.
Male role models are in high demand at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ingersoll, Tillsonburg, and District.
Executive Director Deb Landon has seen the demand for men remain constant over the last number of years.
"We really need men to step forward. That's always been a high need but as we see our numbers grow for the boys - and they're really looking for that male attention, that role model who can show them things that mom can't show them."
Landon says they have programs to accommodate all kinds of schedules from the Big Bunch, to in-school mentoring, and the one-on-one mentoring.
"We have 40 boys that have been waiting on our waiting list for the last - well some for several years - and so we're looking for guys to come forward and help support those kids, to give them experiences that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to do."
