WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Dragon Boat Festival brought in over $30,000 this year.
All of the money raised will go to local and international charities supported by the local Rotary Club. 56 teams competed this Saturday at Pittock Park and plenty of spectators came out to the Lake to check out the action.
Chair of Dragon Boat Festival Dave Harris tells Heart FM the big winners on the day came from Toronto.
A team from Toronto called the Out of Harbour Warriors, they are one of the top teams in Canada they won the Festival for the second year in a row, they had a great time, they won the cakewalk award which is the fastest time in the first round."
Harris says this was probably the biggest festival they have ever had.
