Trevor Birtch's name has been added to the list of mayoral candidates on the City of Woodstock website.
WOODSTOCK - It looks like the Mayor of Woodstock will be running for re-election this fall.
Trevor Birtch is now listed as a mayoral candidate on the City's website. Those interested in running in the municipal election had until 2:00 p.m. today to file their paperwork.
Birtch has been the Mayor of Woodstock for eight years now, but his personal life has been making headlines over the past six months. He is facing assault charges in two separate London Police investigations and he will appear in a virtual courtroom on Monday.
We here at Heart FM have been reaching out to municipal election candidates all across Oxford County, in order to write up candidate profile stories ahead of election day. We will be reaching out to Mayor Birtch next week.
The municipal election will be taking place on October 24th.
