Briefs include a theft from a vehicle in Burford, resulting in the vehicle owner being hit by the suspect's car and two separate impaired driving charges in Brantford.
BURFORD - Brant County OPP are investigating after being called to a home in Burford on Highway 53 about a theft from a vehicle where the owner was hit by the suspect's car.
The incident happened on September 7th and police say unknown suspects went into the parking lot and stole a leather wallet and cash.
The owner of the car was alerted by the noise and tried to stop the suspect's vehicle from leaving the area and was hit. The vehicle owner suffered minor injuries.
OPP want to remind people to lock your vehicles when parking, even if you're just going to be a few minutes, also to remove any valuables from your car and if you can't then keep them out of plain sight.
Other tips include parking in well-lit areas with a lot of traffic and do not confront the thieves. Call police and watch from a safer place.
Brant County OPP are looking for the public's help and are asking if anyone was in the area of Highway 53 and saw any suspicious people or vehicles, you're asked to call them.

BRANTFORD- A 36-year-old man from Brantford has been charged with impaired driving.
Officers were alerted to a car on Highway #403 east bound near Johnson Road on September 7th before 3:30 am.
The accused will appear in a Brantford courtroom at a later date. if they're convicted, they'll be subject to penalties under the Criminal Code , including a fine or jail time and a driving prohibition.
