11 local businesses will be walking away with some hardware during tonight's Business Awards of Excellence
WOODSTOCK - The 18th Annual Chamber of Commerce Business Awards will be held tonight at the Oxford Auditorium.
33 local businesses have been nominated for 11 prestigious awards this year. Chair of the night Jeff Workman tells Heart FM about the final award that will be handed out tonight.
"Probably the key award is the President's award which gets handed out at the end of the night; that really recognizes a top individual in the community, who has served the community for a long time and that award isn't voted on, that recipient is chosen by the President David Coad."
Workman says it is important to recognize local businesses for all the hard work they do, which is why they host these awards every year.
"I think it is just so important to recognize the people that make a difference in the community, to show what successes Woodstock has, because we have a lot to be proud of in this town and there are a lot of successful individuals and businesses in this community and it is just great to highlight those individuals on an annual basis."
Some of the awards up for grabs include the New Business of the Year, Community Involvement and the Food Service award.
