Team Canada celebrated a 4-2 win over Finland yesterday and Oxford County's Ella Shelton got an assist in the second period.
DENMARK - It was a great start to the Women's World Ice Hockey Championship for Team Canada.
The Canadians absolutely crushed Finland yesterday with a final score of 4-1.
Oxford County's very own Ella Shelton provided an assist to Meaghan Mikkelson in the second period. Sarah Nurse, Marie-Philip Poulin, and Blayre Turnbull also scored goals for Team Canada.
The Canadians will be back on the ice tomorrow for a matchup against Switzerland. That game should get started at about 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
