Nobody was injured after a chimney fire in Woodstock this afternoon.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Fire department were called out to a chimney fire on Parkinson Road just east of Beards Lane today.
Crews were able to apply an agent from the roof to extinguish the blaze. Nobody was injured during the fire and the damage to the home appears to be minimal. The fire was caused by creosote which had accumulated in the chimney.
The Woodstock Fire Department is reminding everyone with a fire place to have your chimney Wett certified and inspected on a yearly basis.
