NORWICH - The Easter bunny is coming to Norwich!
The Optimist Club of Norwich and District will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at Harold Bishop Park on Saturday. The event starts at 10:45 a.m. for kids five and under and 11:00 a.m. for kids aged six to 12.
Optimist Club member Kathy Keery says the hunts go by quickly.
"We allow about 15 minutes for the younger kids, but the bigger kids can clean that park out in about 10 minutes!"
She adds the eggs won't be filled with candy, but they will have something special inside.
"Some of the eggs will have prize tickets in them, 10 eggs will have a golden ticket, and 50 eggs will have a red prize ticket. Even if you get empty eggs, you bring them up, and every child gets a treat bag!"
The event will be rain or shine, so make sure to dress for the weather. Kids will also be able to enjoy a free hotdog and a drink afterward.
