Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for most of Southern Ontario. Scattered thunderstorms with the slight risk of some severe storms are expected to hit a number of regions today and tomorrow. According to the weather agency, the main threats are damaging wind gusts and large hail. Some areas could experience localized heavy rainfall and an isolated brief tornado cannot be ruled out. Thunderstorms are expected for our region today and tomorrow before cooler weather moves in Thursday and sticks around for the weekend.
