Sunday from 3:30-6:30pm everyone is invited to Southside Park for free family activities
WOODSTOCK - Pack up the family for a fun, free day at Southside Park!
Two churches are coming together to bring a tradition back to Southside Park for another year. Pastor Steve Bauchner from Huron Park Baptist Church says The Family Fun Day will be a great time."It's our eighth year doing it. Can't believe it - eighth year. When we first started we had over 500 people come from community with only 3 inflatables and just a couple of other things going on and now it's just expanded. It's our eighth year doing it and we partner with Faith Way Church as well. And we have over a thousand people coming to this event."
The event is completely free and features 5 inflatables. Huron Park Pastor Steve Bauchner says they have inflatables for all different abilities including a 77 foot obstacle course if you're looking for a challenge, but that's just the start. "We actually even as well have other inflatables for those of you who have toddlers. We have a Candyland inflatable, as well as a huge hit is the horse drawn wagon rides. If they can - depending on how hot it is with the horse - take you through the park out onto Finkle Street and back into the park, so a nice long ride."
Spiderman will also be swinging down to the park, bringing with him Ariel from the Little Mermaid. They will be taking pictures and hosting story time later in the day.
Other events include a fighter jet cockpit kids can climb into, tennis lessons, a petting zoo, and of course hot dogs!
It kicks off at 3:30 p.m. running until 6:30 p.m. with a concert to follow afterwards. Everyone is invited to the free event celebrating the community.
