UPDATE: One person has died following a two-vehicle collision yesterday afternoon in Blandford-Blenheim, involving a motorcycle and a small SUV. The deceased has been identified as 25 year-old Ryan Gopsill of Innerkip.

BLANDFORD-BLEMHEIM- One person has died following a two-vehicle collision in Blandford-Blenheim.
Oxford OPP responded to the report of the collision today at 4:00 pm at the intersection of Oxford Road 22 and Oxford Road 29.
A motorcycle and a small SUV collided at the intersection.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital by Oxford County EMS with life-threatening injuries before they were pronounced dead later on. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
In addition to OPP and EMS, members of the Drumbo Fire Services were on scene. While emergency services were on scene, the roads were closed for several hours, but have since been reopened.
West Region OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) team were also on scene to assist with the investigation.
