EAST ZORRA-TAVISTOCK - Nobody was injured after a fire on Highway 59 just north of Woodstock in East Zorra-Tavistock Township.
Oxford OPP and Firefighters rushed to the scene around 9:30 p.m. The fire started in a travel trailer on the property and spread to a nearby shed. Crews were able to extinguish the blaze but not before it could cause somewhere between $30,000 to $40,000 in damage. The fire is not considered suspicious in nature and is believed to be electrical in nature. Fire officials think it started with the propane tanks inside the trailer.
A portion of Highway 59 was closed for about 2 hours last night to allow firefighters access to the property and put out the blaze.
