The police want to ensure parents are keeping their children safe from stranger danger.
STRATFORD - The Stratford Police Service have released results of the investigation into the Amber Alert that went off on Tuesday, August 2.
The effectiveness of the Amber Alert system was proven that day, as within minutes of the Amber Alert being issued for the 11-year-old girl, police received information of her whereabouts. She was found unharmed and no criminal offences were committed. The police thank everyone involved for their help locating her.
However, Stratford Police are encouraging all parents to involve themselves in their children's internet and social media activities. It is essential to talk to your children about online stranger danger, so they know who they are talking with online.
"Although the internet and social media can be wonderful tools for learning and communication, we are all vulnerable to its risks, especially children."
