Premier Doug Ford says there is no Team Blue, Orange, Red or Green when it comes to the health and wellbeing of the people of Ontario after meeting with representatives from the major political parties this afternoon.
ONTARIO - Premier Doug Ford is preaching a team Ontario approach to dealing with COVID-19.
He met with representatives from all three major political parties in Ontario this afternoon. Here is the official statement from the Premier's office:
“Premier Ford had a productive discussion this afternoon with representatives from all three major political parties in Ontario. The Premier began the meeting by reiterating the importance of putting partisanship aside during this extremely difficult and unprecedented situation.
As the Premier has said before, there is no Team Blue, Orange, Red or Green when it comes to the health and wellbeing of the people of Ontario. He pressed that a Team Ontario approach is crucial in our fight against the spread of COVID-19.
The Ministers of Health, Long-Term Care, Finance and Chief Medical Officer of Health provided an overview of the status of the COVID-19 Fall Preparedness Plan and our government’s extensive efforts in ensuring Ontario is ready to respond to additional waves and surges. The opposition members provided constructive feedback and asked tough questions—we thank them for taking the time to have this frank conversation.”
