Another name has been put forward for Ingersoll Town Council. Louie D'Orazio is looking to get a councillor seat in the upcoming municipal election.
INGERSOLL - Another nomination has come forward to try to win a seat for Ingersoll Town Council.
Louie D'Orazio has lived in the town with his wife since 2002 and is involved with the STICH group, which helps feed the hungry. D'Orazio says there is one topic he would like to support if elected.
"There are a couple of restaurants and bars, and, you know, they don't have any patio system there. Well, let's bring that in, even if it's temporary, on a summer basis, et cetera. I just want to brighten up that whole downtown core."
He mentions he has lots to offer those in Ingersoll and would be ready to make the community better than it already is. D'Orazio speaks to why he would like to be on council.
"So, I figure I'll get involved. People know who I am, know what we're trying to do, and I want to help."
D'Orazio is a retired engineer and feels like his experiences in that field will bring a diverse set of skills to the Council table. Residents will head to the polls for the municipal election on Monday, October 26, 2026.
