The Oxford branch of the Canadian Cancer Society is getting ready for Relay season with the official kick off.
WOODSTOCK - The Canadian Cancer Society of Oxford County is gearing up for their 18th season of Relay for Life.
They will be holding a Relay kick off event at the Quality Hotel and Suites on Wednesday March 1st.
People who are interested in participating in the event can find out more information and register on the spot. Manager Janice Cunningham tells Heart FM it's also a great opportunity to provide suggestions.
"It also will be asking people what they would like to see at Relay this year - some opportunity for input as to theme laps and different things like that and information as well about where the funds that you're raising are going and what they are doing."
Cunningham says the relay is always a memorable event.
"Relay for Life is an unforgettable, emotional, and just plain fun event! It raises funds for Canada's most promising cancer research and vital support services for patients and their families."
The kick off event will run from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
The Woodstock Relay will take place at College Ave Secondary School on Friday June 9th.
