The two received a number of charges including forcible confinement and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
DELHI - Norfolk OPP investigated an armed robbery on Bell Street in Delhi.
Police arrived on the scene Friday at around 6:45 p.m. where someone had been robbed at gunpoint and assaulted. The victim received minor injuries but had various items stolen and damaged.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of a man and woman from Norfolk county. The man received numerous charges including: robbery while using firearm, unauthorized possession weapon (two counts), possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (two counts), assault with a weapon, possession property obtained by crime over $5,000, assault, possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order (two counts), uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm (two counts), forcible confinement, disobey order of court (two counts), operation while prohibited, and fail to comply with probation order (four counts).
The woman received the following charges: forcible confinement, possession property obtained by crime over $5,000, and fail to comply with undertaking (two counts).
Both accused are being held in custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
