LONG POINT - A Hamilton man is dead after he went swimming in Lake Erie with some friends yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Long Point Provincial Park shortly after 4pm when the 19 year old man went under water and never resurfaced. The Canadian Coast Guard searched for him but had to come back to shore due to the weather conditions.
Norfolk OPP say two people walking along the beach about three hours later found the man and brought him back to shore. CPR was conducted but was unsuccessful.
He has been identified as 19 year old Hussein DaSilva.
