McHugh believes his experience in the local industry gives him unique insight on how municipal services work in the town.
INGERSOLL - A name that has been in Ingersoll for generations is campaigning for Council.
Evan McHugh was born and raised in Ingersoll, and says that's a big part of why he's decided to run for town councillor.
"It's the long-term connection to the community that has motivated me to enter local politics myself. I want to ensure Ingersoll stays the community that we have grown to love over the past generations."
McHugh is looking to support local community members and business owners at a municipal level, and he believes his experience in the local industry having run multiple businesses gives him unique insight on how municipal services work in the town.
"It is my belief that this community can be successful all while ensuring this local government minimizes costs."
The municipal election will take place this fall on Oct. 24.
