Many Familiar faces will return to the hockey club this season
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Navy Vets will feature some familiar faces when they open up their season in September.
Head Coach Adam Wallace says the team is proud to announce The entire leadership core form last year is returning. "So the last few years before we got here kids were coming and going all the time, and it's hard to get a rhythm and a good core group of kids if their is a revolving door all the time so having these core group of leaders coming back this year it means quite bit to team and the organization."
The team announced that Captain Jake Schneider, Assistant Captain Justin Elms, and Assistant Captain Dan Haig will all be returning for the upcoming 2015/16 Season.
Wallace says they are looking to build of a solid run last year and the players are excited to represent the Navy Vets in their 50th anniversary season.
"From talking to the guys and getting the vibe around rookie camp, having the older guys come out and watching the rookie camp and just seeing how into they are, you can tell it means quite a bit to them, growing up as kids they all came out and watched the Navy Vets and to be able to wear that jersey for the 50th year, not many guys can say they have done that and I know they are all really looking forward to it."
